The 15 Amp, 1,700 Watt motor supplies plenty of power with superior dust and heat protection. The armature is dual sealed with varnish and a heat resistant adhesive to protect from wear caused by dust and debris. Labyrinth retainers at both ends of the armature help to prevent dust ingress to the bearings, ensuring smoother operation and longer life. Finally, the G18SR employs an iron bearing holder at the commutator side of the motor for improved durability.
